You may want to plan on arriving a little early this month -- here is an item I received from Harold regarding wireless access at ALL branches:

==================
Expanded service:
TIS is pleased to announce that late last month we completed the expansion of our free Wireless Internet service to all Branch Libraries. Previously the service had only been available at the Central Library, Hastings, and La Pintoresca. With this expansion patrons with appropriately equipped wireless devices can use their valid Pasadena/Glendale Library Card and a PIN to access this service from ANY public room at ANY Pasadena Public Library location.

For more information or for troubleshooting help with configuration settings please visit the Library's Wireless Internet Access page at ( http://www.cityofpasadena.net/library/wireless.asp ). Additional questions can be directed to the TIS Help Desk at x4008.
==================

In a nutshell, you'll need a "PIN", which you get by signing up for a "digital" library card. This supports the rumor that DHCP was working for the hard-wired network port last month (though as nobody was set up for a hardwired connection last month anyway, nobody was really in a position to check it out...)

(the other advantage to a PIN is that you can then freely download e-books, which includes at least one book on PHP and related "stuff"...)
