[Dev-sig] cobol in linux

Hello All,

Any one ever try to do COBOL programming in Linux?

I recently was transferred to a new group at my work, and they use COBOL
programs in a mainframe environment.

So now I have desire to learn COBOL programming, and would love to
experiment on my Linux box before trying to experiment on the work
mainframe!

I found that Debian has an openCobol package in unstable, but wanted some
informed opinions before I give it a whirl.
