Hello all,

I'm hoping to make it to the SGVLUG meeting in December. (I live in 
England but will be visiting family in LA.)

I'm involved with a couple of projects which may be of interest:

A not-for-profit consortium of companies and libre software projects 
using Linux kernel based systems and other libre software for audio 
work, with an emphasis on professional tools for the music, recording 
and broadcast industries.

A company developing a collection of software for digital content 
creation on x86_64 hardware. It has a low-latency JACK environment 
based on the 2.6.13 kernel with Ingo Molnar's real-time premption 
patches. Alpha version available for download now, stable version due 
next year.
